This journey began with a dream and a determination to turn that dream into reality, fueled by hard work, creativity, and a deep-rooted connection to nature.
A Family Tradition of Hard Work:
Growing up in a family where work ethics were instilled from a young age, I learned the value of dedication and perseverance. Surrounded by the beauty of nature on our family farm, I developed a love for flowers and spent countless hours exploring the vibrant landscapes that surrounded me.
From Hobby to Passion:
After leaving school, I gravitated towards the world of floristry, initially as a temporary gig to help out during the busy Christmas season. However, what started as a short- term job quickly blossomed into a passion. I found myself drawn to the artistry and creativity of floral design, and I knew I had found my calling.
A Journey of Learning and Growth:

Determined to pursue my newfound passion, I embarked on a journey of learning, enrolling in a floristry course in Orange. Despite being the youngest student by a decade, I dove headfirst into my studies, guided by two incredible teachers who nurtured my talent and fueled my ambition.
Entrepreneurial Spirit:
As I honed my skills as a florist, I also discovered an inherited entrepreneurial streak within myself. Inspired by my love for preserving and framing bridal bouquets, I ventured into the world of preservationist artistry as Janelle Keogh's Floral Designs.
I created bespoke pieces that captured the essence of love and celebration for approximately five years before adding event coordination, floral bouquets, event decorations and cakes to my repertoire. Providing these one of a kind services for the Bathurst Orange, Lithgow, and Cowra area for more than fifteen years.
The Birth of Enticing Icing Cake Design:
With a desire to expand my creative horizons, I delved into the world of cake decorating, launching Enticing Icing Cake Design. What started out as an added service to my wedding packages soon grew into a thriving business of its own, offering custom cakes, cake supplies, and cake decorating classes to eager enthusiasts.
Navigating Challenges and Embracing Change:
However, life is never without its challenges, and the onset of COVID-19 brought unforeseen obstacles to my doorstep. Despite facing setbacks, I refused to let adversity dim my spirit. Instead, I embraced change, adapting to new circumstances and finding solace in the simple pleasures of gardening and spending time with family.
A Blooming Success:
As I shifted my focus back to my roots in floristry, Bathurst Flower Farm Florist was born. With a renewed sense of purpose and a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature, I embarked on a new chapter, offering exquisite floral arrangements, plants, and gifts to customers near and far.
